Privacy Policy
Your pet's records are yours. Here is exactly what we collect, why, and the control you keep.
Last updated July 1, 2026
This policy explains how Vetta handles your information and your pet's health records. We have written it in plain English because a privacy policy you cannot read is not really a policy at all.
What we collect
We collect what we need to run Vetta and nothing we do not. That falls into three buckets.
- Account details: your name, email, and password, so you can log in.
- Pet and health data: the profiles, records, symptoms, and reminders you add.
- Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the app is used, so we can improve it.
How we use your data
Your pet's data is used to give you guidance, keep your records in one place, and send the reminders you ask for. That is it.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your pet's health records to advertise to you. We may use aggregated, de-identified data to improve the quality of our guidance, in a way that cannot be traced back to you or your pet.
Storage and security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We limit internal access to the people who need it, and we keep audit trails of access to sensitive records.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you promptly and explain what happened and what we are doing about it.
Your choices and rights
You are in control of your data. At any time you can:
- Export your pet's full record as a PDF or file bundle.
- Correct or delete any information in your account.
- Delete your account entirely, which removes your data from active systems.
- Turn off analytics and non-essential communications.
Children
Vetta is for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
